The bathroom and kitchen taps in my fifth wheel squeak when I turn them to either hot or cold. Are these cheap taps and do they need to be replaced? Or, does this noise need to be fixed?
Thanks,
Larry Godfrey
Thanks for your question Larry.
Do you know what brand of taps they are? Most taps in RVs are made by Delta or Phoenix. (deltafaucet.com or faucets. com). It sounds like you have calcium deposits on the “O” rings. Most taps can be taken apart to replace the plastic cartridge and seals. If all else fails, a set of new taps will do the trick. Taps purchased from RV dealers usually fit better than those from hardware stores.
