Lucknow’s Music in the Fields
August 22 – 24, 2024
Lucknow, Ontario
Lucknow’s Music in the Fields is an annual non-profit music festival based in rural Ontario. Celebrating over a decade of music, camping, and community – we run our large-scale experience with small-town hospitality.
100% of proceeds are donated to charity to bring you Great Music for a Greater Cause.
Last year, the event won a “Top 100” Award as one of the best music festivals in Ontario’s RTO 7 Tourism Region, which encompasses the Bruce Penninsula, Southern Georgian Bay and Lake Simcoe.
What was once run in the community soccer fields, with camping spanning across local farmers’ fields – is now hosted on the Graceland Festival Grounds, an ode to the former owner Grace Hopf. The event has grown from 1200 patrons in 2009 to upwards of 8000 in recent years, which literally octuples (8x) Lucknow’s population!
With the support of local businesses, service clubs, residents, and volunteers – the festival has developed from a Kinsmen event into a community event. Its success is built upon the cooperative and supportive nature of the county, with over 600 volunteers helping run the event every year.
The organizers continue to the raise the bar to enhance your festival and camping experience. From expanding the grounds, to bringing in new artists and genres, and allowing campers to choose their own spots – the festival always does its best to improve each year, striving to create a fun and safe environment for attendees, including offering alternative layaway arrangements, shuttles to town, food & drink, merchandise, as well as a fantastic atmosphere!
It is exciting to note that the festival is now an anticipated annual event and the organizers look forward to the opportunity of hosting you in the fields for the last party of the summer, to celebrate the second decade of Lucknow’s Music in the Fields!

Gatineau Balloon Festival
FMG – Festival Montgolfieres Gatineau
August 29 – September 2, 2024
Gatineau, Quebec.
Combine the thrill of hot air balloons with the rocking exhilaration of a music festival at the Gatineau Montgolfieres Balloon Festival.
The FMG – Festival Montgolfieres Gatineau – organizes a large-scale event featuring rich and diversified musical programming, predominantly from Quebec, supported by the distinctive character of the hot air balloon and by innovative, immersive and entertaining experiences that attract new audiences and build loyalty among a multi-generational clientele. Consciously committed to responsible and sustainable principles and practices, the Festival’s ambition is to showcase the City of Gatineau in such a way as to generate significant economic, social, cultural and tourism benefits.
With the addition of a third stage and the new FMG Late Nights concept, as well as sunny skies over the 5 days of the Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival, festival-goers were treated to an edition that marked a new chapter in the Festival’s history.
With an attendance of over 225,000, the 36th edition of the FMG broke all records in 2023. The Festival generated an estimated $15 million in economic spin-offs for the Outaouais region. The festival attracted a local clientele, with 68% of attendees coming from the Outaouais region. Visitors from outside the Outaouais, who accounted for 32% of the clientele, came from 10 countries, including Germany, Australia, France and the United States.
Tens of thousands of festival-goers turned out every day to sing along to the hits of the artists who graced the FMG’s three stages.
Families were delighted by the family activities on site and in the Desjardins Family Zone, in addition to the youth shows presented from Saturday to Monday. The GPW-LPG wrestling gala was once again a great success, attracting curious onlookers and fans alike, as was the exhibition of some 100 vintage and modern cars on Saturday afternoon.
Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday | Around 6 am
Xavier de Montgolfier, a direct descendant of the Montgolfier brothers, inventors of the hot air balloon, was chosen as Honorary President of the 2nd edition of the Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival in 1989, while Philippe Husson, Ambassador of France to Canada, was the 1988 Honorary President.
His ancestors Joseph and Étienne de Montgolfier launched their first “lighter-than-air” balloon in 1783 in the town of Annonay, south of Lyon, in France. Two hundred years later, Xavier de Montgolfier joined with other family members to found the Club de montgolfières de la ville d’Annonay (the Annonay Hot Air Balloon Club).
“To appropriately celebrate the bicentennial of this great invention, explains Xavier de Montgolfier, we just had to find a hot air balloon. With sponsor support, we managed to obtain one and founded the club to enable all balloon enthusiasts to fly with us.”
Today, with six balloons and 21 members, the Annonay Hot Air Balloon Club operates in a very special manner. Its pilots don’t own the balloons they fly, since every piece of equipment belongs to the club and remains available to all members.
From Friday to Monday morning, watch the hot air balloons take off for free!
Around 6 a.m., go directly to the Festival site to experience this special moment.
Flights are subject to weather conditions, flight directors’ authorization and the pilot’s decision.
To attend the evening flights, access to the Festival (5-day pass or daily pass) is required.
See your favourite artists on stage
During the 5 days of the event, see artists that will please all ages and all tastes! Well-known artists, as well as local and emerging artists, perform on the various stages of the FMG each year.

Wild Mountain Music Festival
July , 2025
Entrance Ranch, Hinton, Alberta.
Wild Mountain happens at the Entrance Ranch, eight kilometres north of Hinton, on the most beautiful festival site on Earth (www.entranceranch.com).
Wild Mountain has built its reputation from the stage out. We run a two stage format, so the music never stops. With a twist of your lawn chair, it’s easy to follow both stages. From Colin James to the break through with the Sheepdogs, then Sam Roberts and a packed field in 2014 for Blue Rodeo, one of Canada’s preeminent bands, Wild Mountain brings a unique mix of music and art to the foot of the Rocky Mountains.
For the big kids, our beer tent has an amazing view of both stages, but ours is a family friendly event and we offer the younger kids their own area with well planned weekend activities.
The location is rustic and takes place on one of the pastures of a working ranch. The festival runs a shuttle service from Hinton, but if you choose to camp on-site, the Wild Mountain General Store offers the necessities and there is an array of food vendors and many art vendors offering interesting original work.

With a long-running history in the Guelph community, hosting an annual summer festival, downtown winter event, and additional performances throughout the year – Hillside is committed to sharing the best that the arts and music scene has to offer in Ontario.
This year, the festival boasts over 50 Canadian and international artists, including Juno- and Polaris-prize winning Blackie & The Rodeo Kings (with Daniel Lanois and Terra Lightfoot), Patrick Watson, and Aysanabee, as well as internationally renowned artists like songwriter Richard Thompson and South African collective BCUC (Bantu Continua Uhuru Consciousness).
Featuring a wide range of genres and musical styles in a beautiful island locale, the 2024 festival is going to be one to remember!
The three-day festival takes place on the scenic Guelph Lake Island, July 19-21 this year.
