Garth,

I own a travel trailer Cougar X-Light model 21RBS with a length of 25 feet, nine inches. Dry weight is 5,238 pounds with a capacity of 1,962 pounds. I have a problem with sway control. You had an article on the Hensley hitch saying it is quite good. I also looked at the video from the company. Are they really that good and stable as to what is shown in the video? My other question is where can I buy that type of hitch in Ontario? The hitch I use now is a Husky with two sway control bars.

Thank you for your help.

Hi Jean-Yves,

The Hensley hitch is probably the best hitch to prevent trailer sway (before it happens), which I have tested. It is sold in Ontario by Andy Thomson at Can-Am RV in London (andy@canam- rv.com). It is more expensive than a Reese or Eaz-Lift but worth the cost. The extra cost of the hitch is less than the deductable of your first accident. If you change your trailer to a different model in the future, the hitch can be transferred to the new one.
